Reuland Secures Third Career Top-10 Finish, Placing T-9 at OTC Collegiate Invite

Cougars finish 10th as a team at the season-opening tournament
FINAL RESULTS
CHARLESTON, S.C. --- Zach Reuland launched his sophomore season in style this week at the OTC Collegiate Invitational, netting his third career Top-10 finish since arriving in Charleston in the fall of 2020. Reuland placed T-9 at the OTC Collegiate Invite hosted by Wake Forest in Wintson-Salem, North Carolina, firing a 6-under par 204 at the Par-70 Old Town Club.
Reuland shot under-par in all three rounds, finishing strong on Tuesday with a 1-under 69. The sophomore posted 12 birdies during the 54-hole tournament, boasting a 3.89 scoring average on Par 4s en route to the Top-10 performance.
As a team, the Cougars placed 10th overall at the OTC Collegiate Invitational besting Rutgers, Davidson, UNCG, Loyola (Md.) and East Carolina. Head coach Mitch Krywulycz' team fired a 4-under par 836 (276-278-282).
Senior Jack Parrott was strong all week, finishing T-29 with a 1-under 209. Parrott carded a 1-under 69 in Tuesday's final round. After starting on Hole 10, the South Carolina transfer was stellar on the front nine to enter the clubhouse on fire, posting three birdies and no bogeys over his final nine holes of the tournament.
Freshmen Nevill Ruiter and Kieron van Wyk made their collegiate debuts this week. Ruiter placed T-35 with an even-par 210 after posting a 70 on Tuesday. The Netherlands native tallied an eagle and two birdies over his last six holes to finish the tournament with some momentum. Van Wyk finished at T-59, anchored by an opening-round 1-under 69 to begin his college career.
The Cougars are back in action Oct. 10-12 at the Bank of Tennessee Intercollegiate in Johnson City, Tennessee. The tournament is hosted by East Tennessee State.
