Tip-off is set for 2:00 p.m. on FloSports
CHARLESTON, S.C. -- The College of Charleston women's basketball team (9-6, 1-3) will play host to the Towson Tigers (12-3, 3-1) on Friday afternoon at 2:00 p.m. inside TD Arena. Due to the threat of winter weather, the contest was moved to 2:00 p.m., up from the original 7:00 p.m. start time. The game will be live-streamed on FloSports.

- The Cougars used a 55-point second half to leave William & Mary with an 87-71 win on Sunday. It was the first CAA win of the season for the Cougars
- Charleston held a five-point lead after three quarters but outscored the Tribe 27-16 in the final period
- The win resumed CofC's run of dominance away from home this season, making the Cougars 5-1 in true road games and 7-1 away from TD Arena overall
- Grace Abercombie was named the CAA Rookie of the Week for a league-best third time this season
- Abercrombie averaged 16 points and five rebounds on the week, scoring 19 points and grabbing seven rebounds in the loss at Elon before ending the week with 13 points on 3-of-6 shooting from three in the win at William & Mary
- At William & Mary, Anika McGarity scored a career-high 25 points on 7-of-15 shooting from deep. Both the three-point attempts and makes were not only career-highs for McGarity, but are also both second-most in a game in program history
- Tyler Collins and Jenna Annecchiarico are nearing the 1000 career points milestone. Collins has scored 935 career points, while Annecchiarico has scored 932
- Collins is up to sixth all-time on the Charleston career assists lists with 314 for her career. Arynn Eady ranks fourth in CofC history in rebounding, having recently passed the 700 rebound mark. Eady currently has 724 rebounds following a 13 rebound performance at William & Mary. Eady also ranks fifth on the all-time blocks list at Charleston with 115 career rejection
- CofC is currently in the top five nationally in steals per game and turnover margin while it ranks 14th in scoring offense at 78.9 points per game
- Jenna Annecchiarico ranks sixth in the NCAA in assists per game (6.3) and seventh in steals per game (3.4)
- Rebounding and ball-control usually decides the game when the Cougars are involved. Charleston is 5-0 when it outrebounds its opponent and 9-4 when it forces more than 16 turnovers
- Towson comes into Friday's matchup with a 12-3 record and the top NET ranking (80th) in the CAA.
- Towson is led by Allie Kubek (16.2 PPG) and Aleah Nelson (16.1 PPG)
- Kubek was named the CAA Player of the Week on Monday. It was Kubek's second time to receive the honor
- In the all-time series, Towson has won 14 of the 18 overall matchups
