
Charleston Welcomes James Madison in for Sunday Afternoon CAA Contest

First 100 kids through the door will be given a free mini hoop
CHARLESTON, S.C. -- The College of Charleston women's basketball team (10-6, 1-3) will look to even up its CAA record on Sunday as it faces James Madison at 2:00 p.m. inside TD Arena. The game will be live-streamed on FloSports.
The game will also serve as Kid's Day. The first 100 kids in the door will be given a mini hoop. The Cougars women's basketball players will also be available on the court for postgame autographs. Admission is free.
Masks are required for all fans inside TD Arena except when actively eating or drinking.

- The Cougars scored 55 points in the second half for the second game in a row on Friday, overcoming a two-point halftime deficit to beat Towson 88-72 inside TD Arena
- Thanks to Friday's result, Charleston broke a seven game losing streak to the Tigers
- The win over Towson is arguably Charleston's most notable victory of the season. The Tigers entered the game ranked 80th in the NET, the highest rated team in the CAA.
- After beating Towson, Charleston rose from 165th to 148th in Saturday's edition of the NET rankings
- James Madison enters Sunday's CAA clash with a NET ranking of 165
- Jenna Annecchiarico had a massive game, scoring a career-high 36 points against the Tigers. The 36 points are the most a CofC player has scored in a single game in the division-one era of program history
- The junior point guard also broke the school record for free throws made in a game by a single player, as Annecchiarico went an incredible 18-for-19 from the foul line in the game
- With a stellar encore performance on Sunday, Annecchiarico could become Charleston's second winner of the CAA Player of the Week award. Anika McGarity was awarded the honor earlier this season while Grace Abercrombie has won CAA Rookie of the Week three times this season. The four combined weekly awards are the most in the CAA this season
- Annecchiarico leads the Cougars in points per game, assists per game, and steals per game and is top 15 nationally in both assists and steals
- Annecchiarico was not the only CofC player to put up a significant stat line in the win over Towson. Arynn Eady picked up her sixth double-double of the season, scoring 16 point and hauling in a season-high 17 rebounds. Eady came within one rebound of her career-high of 18 boards. The senior from Atlanta grabbed seven offesnive rebounds, contributing to CofC's season-high 21 offensive rebounds.
- Senior guard Latrice Perkins scored 16 in a season-opening win at Wofford. Perkins surpassed that on Friday, scoring 18 points on 8-of-14 shooting from the floor. The Cougars are 10-4 with Perkins in the starting lineup this season
- The Cougars are currently in the top five nationally in steals per game and top five in turnover margin. Its 79.4 points per game represents the 12th best mark in the NCAA
- Both Jenna Annecchiarico and Tyler Collins are nearing 1000 career points. Annecchiarico is up to 976 points after her scoring explosion against Towson, while Collins is at 944 career points
- James Madison enters play on Sunday with a 7-9 overall record and a 3-2 mark in the CAA
- JMU owns a win over Virginia this season and four of its nine losses have come to high-major opponents
- Kiki Jefferson, a 6'1" junior guard, leads JMU with 18.6 points per game
