
Cougars Set to Host Huskies

CHARLESTON, S.C. --- The College of Charleston volleyball team returns to TD Arena this weekend looking to get back on track in CAA play when the Cougars host Northeastern in a critical two-match series. First serve for both Saturday and Sunday's matches is set for 1:00 p.m.
The Cougars enter the weekend occupying the eighth spot in the league standings looking to snap a four-match skid. Northeastern carries a 7-8 overall record and sit fourth in the CAA standings after sweeping Elon and UNCW the last two weekends.
Sunday marks the Cougars' Dig Pink match. The Cougars have set up a GoFundMe page to help raise money for breast cancer research with all donations going to the Side-Out Foundation, which helps people with breast cancer regain control of their lives.

- Northeastern carries a 7-8 overall record and a 4-2 mark in CAA play into the weekend. The Huskies have won four in a row after sweeping Elon and UNCW at home the last two weekends.
- Erica Staunton paces the attack ranking third in the CAA and 22nd nationally with an average of 4.28 kills per set. Laura Seeger and Nailah Jenkins are averaging 2.29 and 2.28 kills per set, respectively.
- Jessica Frannea enters the weekend ranked fourth in the league averaging 9.70 assists per frame.
- The Huskies rank fourth in the CAA in hitting percentage (.219).
- Jenkins paces the Huskies at the net with 58 blocks thus far.
- Admission is free of charge for all College of Charleston volleyball matches at TD Arena.
- Gates will open one hour prior to first serve of the opening match each day.
