CHARLESTON, S.C. --- The College of Charleston volleyball team returns to TD Arena this weekend looking to get back on track in CAA play when the Cougars host Northeastern in a critical two-match series. First serve for both Saturday and Sunday's matches is set for 1:00 p.m.

The Cougars enter the weekend occupying the eighth spot in the league standings looking to snap a four-match skid. Northeastern carries a 7-8 overall record and sit fourth in the CAA standings after sweeping Elon and UNCW the last two weekends.

Sunday marks the Cougars' Dig Pink match. The Cougars have set up a GoFundMe page to help raise money for breast cancer research with all donations going to the Side-Out Foundation, which helps people with breast cancer regain control of their lives.

QUICK HITTERS

The Cougars are 10-7 all-time against Northeastern including a series split with the Huskies last season. Northeastern has won three of the last five meetings and six of the last 10.
Senior Gabi Bailey has set the tone for the Cougars' attack this season entering the weekend leading CofC in both total kills (171) and kills per set (2.95). She paces the team with six double-doubles thus far.
Charleston is 7-2 this season when winning the third set and carries a 5-1 record when holding the advantage in service aces.
Senior Lexi Wierzbicki returned to the lineup in full force last weekend accumulating 18 kills while committing only four errors at Hofstra. The Easley, S.C. native has reached double figures four times this season but only once since Sept. 10.
Senior middle blocker Emma Falk has been a force at the net over the last four weekends recording 43 of her season total of 67 blocks in that span. The Niwot, Colo. native equaled her career-high of nine against Charleston Southern on Sept. 16 and has notched at least three in all but one match during that stretch.

SCOUTING THE HUSKIES

Northeastern carries a 7-8 overall record and a 4-2 mark in CAA play into the weekend. The Huskies have won four in a row after sweeping Elon and UNCW at home the last two weekends.
Erica Staunton paces the attack ranking third in the CAA and 22^nd nationally with an average of 4.28 kills per set. Laura Seeger and Nailah Jenkins are averaging 2.29 and 2.28 kills per set, respectively.
Jessica Frannea enters the weekend ranked fourth in the league averaging 9.70 assists per frame.
The Huskies rank fourth in the CAA in hitting percentage (.219).
Jenkins paces the Huskies at the net with 58 blocks thus far.

Admission is free of charge for all College of Charleston volleyball matches at TD Arena.
Gates will open one hour prior to first serve of the opening match each day.
College of Charleston's clear bag policy is in effect for all matches played at TD Arena this fall. The full policy can be found here.
There is no designated general parking area for games at TD Arena. There are various parking garages and paid lots in the vicinity of TD Arena that all spectators can utilize.
Alcohol will be available for purchase at all CofC volleyball matches this fall with last call prior to the third set of the final match each day.
