No. 26 Cougars Conclude Fall Season in Hawaii

O'AHU, HI. - The No. 26 College of Charleston women's golf team concluded the fall season with a third place finish at the Rainbow Wahine Invitational hosted by the University of Hawaii. The Cougars finished 9-over with a final team total of 873, scoring 287 in both rounds two and three.
"We played well again today, just could not make up enough ground to win," said head coach Jamie Futrell. " Third place is a great finish out here to wrap up a great fall."
CofC went 51-5 during the fall campaign, only finishing behind a total of five teams in four tournaments played including a win at the Evie Odom Invitational. The team ranked second in the Rainbow Wahine field in par 4 holes with a 4.15 average and in total birdies with 45.
Junior Viktoria Hund played a 3-under round to finish the tournament 2-over for T-8 along with sophomore Emma Schimpf, who played a par final round with five birdies. Othilie Lied finished T-17 after a 1-over day and 4-over tournament, followed by Smith Knaffle in T-22 after a 1-over day and 8-over tournament. Emily Dunlap rounded out the Cougars' team contingent in T-32 with a 5-over final round and 11-over tournament.
Adrian Anderson finished T-35 and was the only competitor in the entire field to score an eagle, which she did in the second round on hole 14. Mary Kathryn Talledo finished T-39 (+14) while Isabella Britt was T-67 (+23).
The Cougars will return to action in February in Orlando, Florida at the UCF Challenge.
