GREENWOOD, Ind. --- College of Charleston graduate student Claire Campbell added to her mantle on Tuesday earning a spot on the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team for the first time in her career.
Campbell put together a sensational campaign this fall finishing the season ranked third in the CAA and amongst the national leaders with a .358 hitting percentage. The Raleigh, N.C. native averaged a career-best 1.95 kills per set and concluded her tenure at the College ranked eighth all-time with 322 career blocks. Her 2022 campaign will go down as one of the most efficient individual campaigns in program history with her .358 hitting percentage ranking sixth on the school's single-season list during the rally scoring era.
She was of the Cougars' most consistent performers this fall hitting at least .300 in 15 appearances including eight with an attacking percentage of .500 or better. The 6-foot-1 middle blocker reached double figures in kills seven times this fall highlighted by a career-best 13 smashes on only 19 swings without an error on Oct. 30 at Stony Brook.
The 2022 All-CAA Second Team honoree has starred for the Cougars in the classroom as well sporting a perfect 4.0 GPA in CofC's rigorous one-year Master's of Business Administration program. Campbell earned a Bachelor of Science in International Business from the College last spring.
