Logan comes to Charleston from USC-Upstate
Originally from Rutherfordton, N.C., Logan comes to the Lowcountry after three seasons at South Carolina-Upstate. The 5-foot-8 guard started 58 of the 77 games in which she appeared for the Spartans, holding career averages of 6.1 points, 5.9 rebounds, 2.3 assists, and 1.2 steals per game. This past season, as a junior, Logan was prolific as she averaged 8.6 points on 50 percent shooting from the field and 38 percent from beyond-the-arc. She supplemented that with 7.7 boards per game, along with 2.7 assists and 1.7 steals per contest. Logan's rebounding average ranked fourth nationally among player standing 5-foot-8 or less.
"Jada is a slasher who rebounds at a surprising rate given her size," head Coach Robin Harmony said. "She can score at all three levels. She is a really good on-ball defender with a great motor."
Logan posted four double-doubles last season, including back-to-back outings in which she pulled down 17 rebounds. Her best scoring output came against UNC-Asheville, in which Logan erupted for 26 points and eight boards on 11-of-17 shooting.
A star at R-S Central High School, Logan posted career averages of 13.3 points, 4.6 assists, 7.5 rebounds, and 3.5 steals per contest. As a senior for the Hilltoppers, Logan tallied 17 points, 10.3 rebounds, 5.2 assists, and 3.4 steals per game over 28 contests. Her stellar play earned her conference player of the year honors, first-team all-district, and a spot in the Blue/White and North Carolina East/West All-Star games.
