Thomas Nets CAA Rookie of the Week Accolades

RICHMOND, Va. – College of Charleston freshman forward Peter Thomas has earned CAA Rookie of the Week honors after scoring three goals and totaling seven points in a 2-0 week for the Cougars.
Thomas had a goal and assist as part of a second half offensive explosion in a 5-1 win over Georgia Southern on Tuesday. But he saved his most impressive performance for Sunday's CAA match at William & Mary.
The Manchester, England, product scored two goals late in the first half to help Charleston bolster its postseason hopes with a 3-2 victory over the Tribe. His first goal gave the Cougars a 2-0 lead, and his second came seven minutes later after William & Mary had pulled within one.
The brace enabled Thomas to take over the team lead with six goals and 15 points, and he is tied for seventh in the CAA in goals and tied for sixth in points.
The Cougars open a three-game homestand Tuesday night at 7 p.m. against USC Upstate.
