Futrell Adds Two on National Signing Day

CHARLESTON, S.C. - College of Charleston head women's golf coach Jamie Futrell has announced the signing of Amy Staveley and Taylor Sieg to join the Cougars for the 2024-25 season.
Staveley, a native is North Yorkshire, England, is a two- time Women's Club Champion and two-twin Yorkshire Scratch Final Champion. Most recently, she won the mixed East Riding Matchplay Championship, becoming the first female to win the competition. She also won the England Golf U18s Champion of Champions tournament by 9 strokes with an unofficial course record of 68 (-4).
"Amy has a tremendous work ethic and is a great fit for our program," said head coach Jaie Futrell. "She had an outstanding summer competing in England and she should make an immediate impact to our program."
Sieg most recently placed fourth out of 20 participants in the NJPGA Section Junior Challenge shooting 73 – 72. The Summit, New Jersey native also finished seventh out of 46 participants in the NJPGA Junior Section Championship. She won the Prep State Champion and the first ever Union County Individual Conference Championship.
"I am very impressed with Taylor's character. She also has a great deal of talent on the golf course and is just scratching the surface of how good her golf game is going to be," said Futrell. "I am excited to watch her progress in college.
