
Cougars Fail to Complete Comeback versus Robert Morris

MOON TOWNSHIP, Pa. – The College of Charleston women's basketball team fell on the road to Robert Morris, 71-65 on Saturday in UMPC Events Center.
The Cougars were unable to complete the comeback, falling by just six after erasing a 12-point deficit in the third quarter.
Charleston began the fourth quarter down just one point, when a jumper from Jada Logan gave the Cougars the lead. Charleston went back and forth with the Colonials, exchanging the lead until the final minutes, where accuracy from the field and free throw line field gave Robert Morris the advantage.
Robert Morris' deep roster shined today as they tallied 29 bench points, compared to Charleston with just one point from the bench.
The Cougars were led by Taryn Barbot, finishing the day with 18 points and three rebounds. Barbot found success beyond the arc, shooting a career-high five three-pointers.
Jenna Annecchiarico tallied 14 points, six assists and four rebounds, while Anika McGarity and Alexis Andrews both contributed with 12 points each. Lara Rohkohl returned to action leading the team in rebounds with eight.
