CHARLESTON, S.C.—The College of Charleston women's basketball team fell to Towson 61-52 in Charleston on Sunday afternoon.
The Cougars dropped to 11-16 with a CAA record of 6-11. Towson moved to 17-10 with a CAA record of 11-5.
Jazmyn Stone led the Cougars with 14 points off the bench. Jada Logan followed behind with 11 points. Anika McGarity reached a career-high with eight rebounds. Marissa Brown matched her career-high in rebounds with seven and finished with eight points, just one shy of tying her career-best mark.
Towson's Quinzia Fulmore recorded a double-double with 14 points and 10 rebounds.
Charleston will host their final regular season game against Northeastern on Thursday, March 2.

Towson shot .357 from the floor helping build a 14-8 advantage through the first quarter.

Charleston caught fire in the second quarter and shot .417 from the field but Towson would hold a 28-22 lead at the break.

Charleston would take advantage of Towson foul trouble in the third period, sinking eight free throws. The Tigers, however, led 43-35 through 30 minutes of action.

In the final quarter, the Cougars battled their way back but Towson would hang on in the end for the 61-52 decision.
