Women's Tennis Remains Tough in Win Over UAB

CHARLESTON, S.C.—The College of Charleston women's tennis team defeated UAB 5-2 on Wednesday afternoon at the College of Charleston Tennis Center.
Charleston picked up a 1-0 lead after hard-fought doubles on courts 1 and 2. Ella Faessler and Nicole Stephens remained tough with edging UAB 7-5. Slade Coetzee and Halli Trinkle came from behind and forced a tie-break which led to a 7-3 victory.
In singles, Coetzee and Trinkle picked up quick wins for the Cougars. Then, Maja Jekauc, Stephens, and Peyton Brotzman challenged UAB with Jekauc and Stephens coming out on top.
