Wiggans Announces 2023 Men's Soccer Schedule

CHARLESTON, S.C. — College of Charleston men's soccer head coach Keith Wiggans has announced the 2023 slate for the Cougars. Charleston will play 17 regular season contests including eight against CAA opponents.
The Cougars will start the fall season with exhibitions against West Virginia on August 12 and Presbyterian on August 19. The program kicks off the regular season in the Sunshine State at Stetson (Aug. 24) and North Florida (Aug. 27).
"I'm very excited for the 2023 season to get started in August," said Wiggans. "We open up the season on the road with two games in Florida at Stetson and at North Florida.
Charleston will return home to face their first conference opponent Drexel on Sept. 2. before welcoming Coastal Carolina on Sept. 5. The Cougars hit the road for their first conference road trip on Sept. 9 at Northeastern. Wiggan's program will host UNCW on Sept. 16 before a three-game road trip at Furman (Sep. 19), Duke (Sep.26), and Monmouth (Sep. 30) to end the month of September.
"Later in the season at Furman and at Duke which will be a great test for our guys against two fantastic programs," said Wiggans.
The Cougars will remain home for the majority of October with matchups against Queens (Oct. 3), Stony Brook (Oct. 7), Georgia Southern (Oct. 10), USC-Upstate (Oct. 17), Elon (Oct. 24), and Winthrop (Oct. 24).
Charleston will only travel twice during the month to face CAA opponents William & Mary (Oct. 14) and Delaware (Oct. 28).
"The CAA is a great conference and there are no easy games home or away. My team is up for the challenge though and I'm excited about what we can accomplish in the 2023 season."
All College of Charleston soccer matches are free admission and open to the general public.
