FRANKLIN, Tenn. - The College of Charleston women's golf team opened the Mason Rudolph Championship on Friday at the Vanderbilt Legends Club.
The Cougars are playing among five of the last 11 NCAA national champions along with ten ranked programs. Charleston finished day one in 16th (+10).
"I feel like we are close to being good, but in a field like this close is not good enough," said head coach
Jamie Futrell. "Hopefully, we can put it all together the next two days."
Adrian Anderson currently leads the Cougars at T43. The sophomore totaled two birdies on the day (+1).
Emma Schimpf (+2), Emilie von Fickenstein (+3), and
Viktoria Hund (+4) where all within one stroke of each other. von Finckenstein led the Cougars with three birdies during the round.
The second round tees off at 8:30 a.m.
