CHARLESTON, S.C. – College of Charleston faces Towson in TD Arena Oct. 11 and 12. The matches start at 5 p.m. and 1 p.m. with both contests airing on FloVolleyball. Friday's contest will also simulcast for free on FloVolleyball's YouTube channel.

OPENING SERVE:
- Charleston earned a split last weekend at Stony Brook. The Cougars trailed by two sets in both matches, storming back to go to five sets. In Friday's contest, CofC pulled off the reverse sweep.
- Emily Banitt was one of three Cougars who had a career weekend. Banitt had a career-best 22 kills and 23 digs in Friday's win then followed up with a new career-high 28 kills on Saturday. The fifth year it the first Charleston player with back-to-back games with at least 22 kills since Madelyn McGinnis in 2011. Her 28 kills are also the third-most in a match in program history.
- Hannah Scott tallied three straight matches with 50-plus assists last week, led by a career-high 58 assists in Friday's game.
- Emily Dykes recorded a career-best eight blocks in both Friday and Saturday's matches.
- Charleston enters the weekend third in the country with 192 total blocks, ninth with 1,113 total digs and 11th with a .144 opponent hitting pct.
SCOUTING TOWSON:
- Towson has a league-best 14-2 record and is tied with Charleston, Delaware, Hofstra and Northeastern for the best record in conference play at 5-1. The Tigers are led by CAA Preseason Player of the Year Victoria Barrett, who has 256 kills, good for 4.20 kills/set. Defensively, Ylenia De Mango paces the team with 76 total blocks while libero Sydney Stewart has 274 digs.
SERIES HISTORY:
- Charleston is 12-8 versus Towson in the all-time series. Friday will be the first match between the teams since Nov. 6, 2022. When contests go to five sets, the Cougars are 5-1 against the Tigers.
UP NEXT:
- Charleston continues play at TD Arena when it welcomes William & Mary to town Oct. 18 and 19. Opening serves are slated for 6 p.m. and 2 p.m. with Saturday's contest serving as the team's Dig Pink match.
