
Men's Golf Returns to Action at Qubein Cup

CHARLESTON, S.C. --- The College of Charleston men's golf team will compete in the Qubein Cup hosted by High Point University beginning Monday, October 14 at the Sedgefield Country Club in Greensboro. This will be the Cougars third tournament of the 2024-2025 campaign.
The Cougars are coming off a seventh place performance at the Inverness Intercollegiate, ahead of five Power Four teams. Prior to the Inverness Intercollegiate, Charleston finished tenth out of 16 teams at the Visit Knoxville Collegiate, defeating four Power Four teams.
Charleston was led by KIeron van Wyk at both tournaments, earning CAA Golfer of the Week honors for his efforts.The senior from South Africa went 71-66-70 (-3) to finish 11th at the Knoxville Collegiate against a field that included No. 7 Tennessee, No. 11 Georgia Tech, and No. 13 Ole Miss. van Wyk then turned around and placed third at the Inverness Intercollegiate, going 5-under (70-67-65) against a tournament that included No. 1 Auburn, No. 4 Vanderbilt, No. 6 Virginia, No. 12 Oklahoma, and No. 15 Texas Tech.
The final round of the Qubein Cup will be streamed live from the 18 green on Tuesday on ESPN+
