CHARLESTON, S.C. – College of Charleston hosts William & Mary in TD Arena Oct. 18 and 19. The matches begin at 6 p.m. and 2 p.m. with both contests airing on FloVolleyball.
Saturday's match is the annual Dig Pink game with the first 100 fans receiving a pink rally towel. Fans can also participate in a raffle on the concourse that features prizes from local businesses with all proceeds going directly to the Magee-Womens Research Institute and Foundation, the country's largest independent research institute dedicated exclusively to women's health.

OPENING SERVE:
- Charleston swept Towson, beating the Tigers in three sets on Friday and five sets the next day. The Cougars are the first team in the CAA to 15 wins and sit atop the conference standings with a 7-1 record. CofC's RPI jumped from 70 to 52 following the weekend sweep.
- Charleston is 11-1 at home in 2024, tied with Towson for the second-most home victories in the country. Nebraska's 13 home wins are the most in the nation.
- Tynley Smeltzer was named CAA Co-Defensive Player of the Week following her performance against the Tigers. Smeltzer tallied 50 digs, good for 6.25 digs/set. In Saturday's win, the libero recorded 30 digs, including 13 in the first set alone.
- Allie Holland had her 800th career kill in Saturday's win. Holland is one-of-two active Division I players with 800 career kills, 500 total blocks and 200 digs, joining Wisconsin's CC Crawford.
- The Cougars lead the nation with 64 solo blocks and are fourth with 211.5 total blocks. Charleston's .146 opponent hitting percentage is also good for 10th in the country.
SCOUTING WILLIAM & MARY:
- William & Mary are 7-10 overall and 3-5 in the CAA this season. The Tribe is coming off a weekend sweep of Delaware where they won both matches in four sets. Ryan Adams is in second season at the helm of the Tribe, holding a 20-25 overall record. Maddie Meyers leads the offense with 234 kills and 3.71 kills/set. Defensively, Lindsay Kahren has a team-best 238 digs and shared CAA Co-Defensive Player of the Week honors with Smeltzer following a 54-dig weekend against the Blue Hens.
SERIES HISTORY:
- Charleston is 16-5 against William & Mary all-time. The Cougars are 9-0 in three set matches. The Tribe swept the 2023 season series in Virginia, winning both matches in five sets.
UP NEXT:
- Charleston travels to North Carolina A&T Oct. 25 and 26. Opening serves from Greensboro are scheduled for 6 p.m. and 3 p.m.
