Traylor Signs with Cougars

CHARLESTON, S.C. – Charleston head men's basketball coach Chris Mack has announced the signing of Chadlyn Traylor to the 2025-26 roster.
"I am excited to announce the signing of Chadlyn Traylor out of North Mecklenburg HS in Charlotte, N.C. Chad comes from a tradition rich basketball program and is an absolute winner having won the state championship a year ago," said Mack.
Traylor was a third-team all-state selection last year after averaging 13.5 points, 6.0 rebounds, and 1.7 steals per game as a junior. He has been a part of two state title teams, his first coming at the 3A level as a freshman at West Charlotte.
He had 15 points, three rebounds, three assists and two steals in North Mecklenburg's 2024 state title. Traylor also plays for Team Curry on the Under Armour circuit.
"He will bring an infectious energy with his play and personality on the court. Chad is extremely coachable, a terrific on ball defender and can shoot at a high level. He comes from a great family and I look forward to him joining us this summer."
