JACKSONVILLE, Ala. - College of Charleston women's basketball will travel to Alabama to face off against Jacksonville State on Wednesday, December 11. Tipoff is slated for 7:30 p.m. ET.

OPENING TIP

CofC enters the matchup 6-1, finding their second road win of the season at local rival Charleston Southern, taking down the Buccaneers 86-45.
Taryn Barbot was named the CAA Player of the Week after leading the team against Charleston Southern with 35 points and 10 three-pointers, tying the program record for most threes in a game.
The Cougars are undefeated on the road, defeating Iona and Charleston Southern as the visitor before Wednesday's matchup.
Charleston entered the new season after an impressive 2023-24 season, finishing 22-10. The Cougars gathered the most wins in a season since 2009-10 and competed in the postseason for the first time since the 2013-14 season.
CofC wrapped up the month of November undefeated with four home victories and one on the road.
Junior forward Lara Rohkohl has reached three double-doubles on the season through seven games, averaging double-digit rebounds and scoring.

Charleston garnered a crowed of 4,399 in their season opener versus Meredith, the largest home crowd in program history.
Lara Rohkohl leads the country in offensive rebounds per game, averaging 5.9 per game. Rohkohl also sits tenth in the country in blocks per game.

SCOUTING THE OPPONENT

The Gamecocks enter the matchup 4-3 on the year and undefeated on their home court.
Jax State recently visited South Carolina, playing at Coastal Carolina on Saturday and falling 55-44 against the Chanticleers.
Charleston and Jacksonville State currently sit even with a 3-3 record against each other. The Cougars took the win in the latest matchup when the Gamecocks visited TD Arena during the 2023-24 season.
Jax State has four players averaging over eight points per game. Shooting frequently from long range, the Gamecocks rank ninth in the nation for three-pointers attempted per game.
