
Charleston to Face Appalachian State Inside TD Arena

CHARLESTON, S.C. - College of Charleston women's basketball will return home to TD Arena to host Appalachian State on Tuesday, December 17 for their last home game of 2024. Tip-off is set for 7:00 p.m.

- CofC enters the matchup 7-1, after defeating Jacksonville State 66-47 to improve to 3-0 on the road.
- The Cougars and the Gamecocks exchanged the lead six times before a breakout fourth quarter put the Cougars on top, outscoring the Jax State 20-3.
- Leah Philpotts grabbed Charleston's second weekly honor, being named CAA Rookie of the Week after putting up 11 points in Jacksonville.
- The Cougars are undefeated on the road, defeating Iona and Charleston Southern as the visitor before Wednesday's matchup.

- Rohkohl leads the country in offensive rebounds per game, averaging 6.0 per game. The forward also sits 11th in the country in blocks per game.
- The Mountaineers enter the matchup 3-5 on the season, most recently falling to Wofford on the road, 63-71.
- App State leads the series, holding a 26-18 record against the Cougars. Charleston holds an 11-8 record against the Mountaineers when playing inside TD Arena.
- The two teams last met in December of 2023, when CofC suffered a 77-73 loss in Boone. The last time the Cougars defeated Appalachian State was during the 2016 season.
- The Mountaineers are led by Emily Carver, the only member of App State averaging double-digit scoring with 12.0 points per game.
