Women's Tennis Takes on UNCW in CAA Quarterfinals

ELON, N.C. – College of Charleston women's tennis will UNCW in the quarterfinals of the CAA Championship on Friday at 2:00 p.m.
The Cougars ended their regular season with an 17-4 overall record and a 6-1 record in conference play. Charleston ended the regular season on a high note, blanking both Davidson and North Carolina A&T in 7-0 victories to improve to an eight-match winning streak.
With a strong spring season, the Cougars earned a bye in the CAA tournament with the No.3 seed.
Scouting the Opponent
The Seahawks finished their regular season with a 10-7 record and 3-4 in conference play.
The Cougars met UNCW during the regular season, where Charleston found the 5-2 win. The Seahawks took the doubles point in the matchup but were overpowered in singles play as the Cougars won five of six.
UNCW advanced to the quarterfinals after a 4-1 win against Stony Brook. The Seahawks dominated the Seawolves in singles play to take the match and face the Cougars.
