
Men's Cross Country Earns CAA Team Academic Excellence Award

RICHMOND, Va. – The College of Charleston men's cross country team was recognized Tuesday as a recipient of the CAA Team Academic Excellence Award for the 2023-24 school year.
The award honors the institution with the highest collective grade point average in all 22 sports sponsored by the CAA. The team GPA is a calculation of the average of each student-athlete who appeared on a roster through the final day of their respective championship season.
The men's team GPA was 3.640 in the fall 2023 semester and 3.507 for spring 2024. Kyle Nitsche turned in perfect 4.0 GPAs both semesters and was the Elite 19 award recipient for men's cross country.
