CHARLESTON, S.C. – College of Charleston begins the month of October with a midweek match against North Florida. Opening serve from TD Arena is set for 6 p.m. Admission to the match is free of charge.
Tuesday's match is 'Student Appreciation Night' where the first 50 students to stop by the marketing table on the concourse will receive free Chick-Fil-A. Students can also enter a raffle to win AirPods and an Apple Watch.

OPENING SERVE:
- Charleston dominated the weekend series against Campbell, winning both matches in straight sets. The Cougars held the Camels to a .082 attacking percentage for the weekend. This season, Charleston has held opponents to a .133 attacking percentage, good for fifth in the country.
- Charleston is the lone team in the CAA to be 4-0 after two weeks of conference play. The Cougars are off to a 4-0 start for the first time since 2018.
- CofC finished the month of September with a 10-3 record, the most wins in the month since 2018. This was also the fifth time under head coach Jason Kepner the Cougars eclipsed double-digit wins in September.
- Allie Holland recorded her 500th career block in Saturday's win, becoming the sixth active Division I player to reach the mark. Holland finished the match with seven total blocks.
- The Cougars tallied 14 service aces in Friday's victory, tied for the second-most in a match in program history. Emily Banitt's eight service aces are also tied for the second-most in a contest in program history. Banitt is tied with five other players for the most aces in a three-set match this season in Division I volleyball.
- Caitlyn Callahan was named CAA Offensive Player of the Week for the second time this season. Callahan hit .708 in the two contests, putting down 17 kills in 24 attempts, while also tallying five total blocks. The middle blocker's 69 total blocks are 18th in the nation, her 1.35 blocks/set is 31st and .398 attacking percentage is 37th in the country. All three lead the conference.
SCOUTING NORTH FLORIDA:
- North Florida is 3-12 this season and in the midst of a nine-match losing streak. The Ospreys are led by Kristen Wright, who is in her seventh season. Amy Burkhardt leads the North Florida offense with 174 kills and 3.49 kills/set. The Ospreys have 122 service errors this season.
SERIES HISTORY:
- Charleston is 1-2 all-time against North Florida. The two teams last squared off in a regular season match on Aug. 31, 2012, a five-set win for the Ospreys. Charleston won the first ever meeting in three sets on Sept. 17, 2010.
UP NEXT:
- Charleston heads north for a weekend series at Stony Brook, beginning Friday, Oct. 5. Opening serves from Pritchard Gymnasium are slated for 5 p.m. and noon.
