CHARLESTON, S.C. – College of Charleston had 11 blocks as it defeated Elon in four sets (25-14, 20-25, 25-21, 25-16) Saturday afternoon at TD Arena.

With the win, the Cougars improve to 17-9 overall and 11-4 in the CAA while the Phoenix slip to 7-19 and 5-10 in league play.

CRITICAL POINTS AGAINST ELON:

Junior Lauren Dow collected her 15th double-double of the year with 32 assists and 10 digs Saturday.
Freshman Jumana Martin helped lead the defensive attack for the Cougars with 24 digs on the afternoon.
Charleston ended the match hitting .429 with 13 kills and a single attack error in the fourth frame.
Redshirt sophomore Deanna Dollar tallied 13 kills while graduate Izzy Marinelli picked up 12 kills, four digs and five blocks.
Freshman Caroline Noonan had a game-best six blocks in the victory.
CofC held Elon to a .075 attacking percentage, the lowest for an opponent this year.

OF NOTE:

Charleston is now 34-5 overall versus Elon and 13-2 when matches go to four sets.
Five Cougars have 20 service aces this season, the most since 2007 (five players).
Martin has 20 digs in 15 matches this season, 11 of which have come in conference play.
Charleston recorded its eighth block party of the campaign, all coming in CAA action.
CofC tallied seven aces,
CofC's 157 aces in 2025 are ninth all-time in program history in the Rally Scoring Era.
Saturday marked Noonan's fifth match with six-plus blocks in 2025.

Charleston concludes the regular season versus Elon Sunday at 2 p.m. Prior to the match, the Cougars will honor its senior class with a ceremony.
