
Freshmen Trio Rewrites Record Book

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – Freshman Trinity Jones marked her name in the record book twice in her Cougar debut at the JDL Early Bird Invite in Winston-Salem, N.C. Sunday, December 7.
Jones competed in the 200m dash, 400m dash, and 60m dash. She placed seventh in the 200m dash with a time of 25.69 to put herself third in the all-time indoor record book. In the 400m dash, the freshman ran a time of 58.29 to place third in the all-time indoor record book.
Freshman Gabby Brailsford also found success in her collegiate debut, placing 12th in the 60m dash with a time of 7.89 to put her fourth in the all-time indoor record book.
In the high jump, freshman Tori-Ann Anderson placed first at the invite, jumping 1.70m. The height she cleared places her in third in the Charleston all-time indoor record book.
Two months out from NCAA cross country championships where junior Katie O'Toole finished first for Charleston with a new personal record of 22:08.6 in the 6k, she placed third in the 3k at the invite over the weekend. She ran a time of 9:55.37 to propel herself into third in the all-time indoor record book.

Sunday's meet was the lone event of 2025 for Charleston track and field, and the Cougars look to prepare for the Asics Superblast Invitational Sunday, January 25th in the new year.
