Cougars Prep for CAA Meet at DI Pre-Nationals

CHARLESTON, S.C. – The College of Charleston track and field team makes the first of two consecutive trips to the Old Dominion this weekend when they compete in the Division I Pre-Nationals at the Virginia Beach Sports Center.
The facility will also serve as the host for the CAA Indoor Championships on Feb. 26-27.
The shorter distances and jumpers will take center stage this week. The pole vault will feature athletes ranked second (Tonet Tallie), third (Madison Jent), fifth (Charlotte Elliston) and tenth (Boston Stringer) in school indoor history.
The other jumping events include Kinsley Allen and Kylie Dougherty, who are fourth and tenth, respectively, in the high jump as well as Gabby David (second in the long jump) and Abby Fush (fourth in the triple jump).
David is entered in the 60m where she is eighth in school history, three spots behind Emma Townsend, who is also third in the 200m. Emily Kreek stands second in the 60m hurdles, and Caroline Cassidy will run the 400m and look to improve on her seventh place standing.
