GREENSBORO, N.C.- The College of Charleston women's basketball team fell on the road to North Carolina A&T on Friday night, 71-59.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The two teams battled back and forth in the first half, as Nyah Willis kicked off the game with back-to-back buckets.
- Coming back from a nine-point deficit, Charleston entered the half down three.
- After five lead changes in the third quarter, the Aggies outscored the Cougars 20-16, taking a seven-point lead into the final frame.
- A quick score from Taryn Barbot at the start of the quarter was countered by a back-to-back scores from the opponent, falling to a double-digit deficit and unable to come back by the final whistle.
- Charleston forced 23 turnovers on the day converting to 26 points and grabbed 13 steals on the day.
LEADING COUGARS
- Taylor Barbot led the team in scoring with 16 points on the day, along with six assists and five rebounds.
- Willis returned to Greensboro knocking down 15 points with a game-high six steals.
- Taryn Barbot also tallied double-digits for the Cougars, also grabbing a team-high six rebounds.
