
Track and Field Set to Compete at Sharonda Coleman Classic

CHARLESTON, S.C. – The College of Charleston track and field team makes a trip to Orangeburg on Saturday to compete at the Sharonda Coleman Classic hosted by South Carolina State.
A total of 20 Cougars are scheduled to be in action including several looking to make moves up the Charleston outdoor record book.
In the running events, Andie Harding is entered in the 800m and is currently fourth in school history at that distance. Sophia Brown is eighth in the 5000m, Emily Kreek is sixth in the 100m hurdles and Caroline Cassidy is third in the 400m hurdles.
Tonet Tallie and Madison Jent are second and third, respectively, in the pole vault with Boston Stringer holding down the ninth spot. Kinsley Allen is third in the high jump, and Abby Fush is fourth in the triple jump.
Following Saturday's meet, athletes slated to compete at the CAA Championships will be at the East Coast Relays in Jacksonville, Fla., on May 2-3.
