
Men's Golf Selected for NCAA Auburn Regional

CHARLESTON, S.C. - The College of Charleston men's golf team has been selected to play in the NCAA Auburn Regional May 12-14 at the Auburn University Club.
The Cougars will travel to Auburn as the 10-seed. They are joined in the field by Auburn, Texas A&M, UCLA, SMU, Georgia Tech, Oregon, Purdue, Little Rock, TCU, Charleston, New Mexico State, Loyola Maryland, and USC Upstate.
Charleston ended the season ranked 62nd in the nation led by Kieron van Wyk, who is ranked 27th in the nation entering the postseason.
Head coach Mitch Krywulycz's program is making back-to-back regional appearances for the first time since 2021 and 2022. This is the program's first-ever at-large appearance in the NCAA Regionals.
The Cougars are coming off a fourth place finish at the 2025 CAA Championship. Tim Bertenbreiter led the Cougars with a T4 (+2) finish for a spot on the All-Tournament team. The senior from Germany sank three birdies in the final round, ending the tournament with the third most pars of all golfers (34). Classmate Kieron van Wyk joined Bertenbreiter on the All-Tournament team with a T7 (+4) finish.
