CHARLESTON, S.C. - College of Charleston head men's basketball coach Chris Mack has announced the signing of Chris Davis Jr. to the Cougars' 2025-2026 roster.
A 6'4" rookie guard, Davis Jr. is the No. 5 all-time scorer in Wisconsin high school basketball history and the back-to-back Big Eight Player of the Year.
"We are excited to be adding Chris Davis Jr. to the Charleston basketball program this spring," said Mack. "Chris will be a true freshman this fall and comes to Charleston as one of the top scorers in the history of Wisconsin high school basketball. His ability to score in a variety of ways sets him apart from so many of his high school peers."
He was the Wisconsin boys high school scoring champion the past two years, averaging 35.2 points per game during the 2024-2025 season at Sun Prairie East. He averaged a state-best 40.8 points per game as a junior at Sun Prairie West in 2023-2024. Davis Jr. finished his high school career with 2,688 points.
"At 6'4", he has terrific size and will be able to play either guard position in college. Like many freshman, he has some things he must improve but his talent and drive to improve are evident. Chris has a chance to be a special player for Charleston."
Davis Jr. played for Team Herro on the Nike EYBL circuit.
