van Wyk Climbs Leaderboard in Auburn

AUBURN, Ala. - Kieron van Wyk jumped 38 spots on the second day of the NCAA Auburn Regional to end the round at T8 (-2) on the leaderboard. The senior posted two birdies and an eagle on holes 12,13,14 to kick-start his round. van Wyk's 68 round was the fifth lowest of the day.
The top five teams and the low individual not on those teams from each regional will advance to the championship held at the Omni La Costa Resort in Carlsbad, California. Kennesaw State individual Claes Borregaard currently leads the field at 8-under.
The Cougars sit in eighth place entering Wednesday's final round, eight strokes out of fifth place.
Miles Eubanks joined van Wyk in climbing the leaderboard, jumping 20 spots from his day one finish. The sophomore shot a 1-under, 71 with three birdies.
Charleston returns to action in tomorrow's final round from the Auburn University Club.
