CHARLESTON, S.C.- College of Charleston women's basketball head coach Robin Harmony has announced the hiring of Chelsey Rhodes to the women's basketball staff in May of 2025.
"We are excited to welcome Chelsey to Charleston," says Harmony. "She is a great addition to our staff with playing experience and head coaching experience at the junior college level."
Rhodes joins the College from Northeast Mississippi Community College, where she served as head coach for three seasons. She led the Lady Tigers to their first 20-win season in 18 years during the 2023-24 campaign. Northeast's fourth place showing this year in the Mississippi Association of Community Colleges Conference (MACCC) was its best finish since division play was discontinued following the 2020-21 season.
Previously, Rhodes served as assistant coach for four seasons at Delta State after wrapping up her playing career as one of the most decorated student-athletes for the program. She began her coaching career at the University of Central Arkansas, assisting the team to an NCAA Tournament bid in 2017.
During her career as a player, Rhodes has been named: 2015-16 GSC Player of the Year, 2015-16 GSC Tournament MOP, 2015-16 First-Team All-GSC2015-16 WBCA All-American, 2015-16 D2CCA South Region Player of the Year.
