
Women's Golf Begins Play at NCAA Charlottesville Regional

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. - The College of Charleston women's golf team sits in tenth place after the opening round of the NCAA Charlottesville Regional at the Birdwood Golf Course. The Cougars are 18-over, 16 strokes back of the cut line. The top five teams at each regional will advance to the NCAA National Championship along with the low individual golfer not on an advancing team.
Molly Hardwick and Emma Schimpf lead the Cougars at T18 (+1). Both golfers are tied for second in the field in par 3 scoring (2.60). Schimpf totaled four birdies during the round while Hardwick sank three.
The Cougars will look to climb the leader board during tomorrow's second round beginning at 8:30 a.m.
