White, Gold Named to United Soccer Coaches' Divison I Players to Watch List

CHARLESTON, S.C.- Two Cougars have been named to the NCAA Division I Players to Watch List by United Soccer Coaches, with Ezra White named for midfielders and Noah Gold for defenders. With the selection, Charleston holds two of the three players recognized in the CAA.
White returns to the pitch in his fourth year as a Cougar, playing in all 18 games his junior year and earning a spot on the All-CAA Second Team. Playing a large role in the team's CAA Tournament qualifying, White led the conference with 10 assists, which also placed him fourth in the NCAA.
Gold enters his second year with CofC after transferring in and competing in 16 games for the Cougars. The defender logged five goals on the season and one assist, including the game-winning goal against conference foe Campbell.
The Cougars will return to action at Patriots Point on Thursday, August 21 to host South Carolina in the season opener. Kickoff is slated for 7:30 p.m.
