Charleston, S.C. - Charleston women's soccer graduate student Maggie Wadsworth was tabbed the CAA Co-Offensive Player of the Week after recording a brace in the Cougars' 4-1 victory over Hampton on Sunday, October 4.
The Flowery Branch, Ga. native scored the first two goals of her career in a six-minute span against the Pirates. Wadsworth opened the scoring in the seventh minute, heading in a free-kick service from Bella Antonio.
Just six minutes later, Wadsworth found the back of the net again, converting another pass from Antonio to secure the brace. She becomes the second Cougar, alongside Antonio, to record two goals in a single match this season.
Wadsworth joined Charleston from Mississippi State in 2025, appearing in six matches last season before being sidelined by injury. This season, she has appeared in all 13 matches, making 11 starts.
Wadsworth leads the Cougars with 28 shots and is now tied for second on the team in goals (two), assists (two), points (six), and game-winning goals (one). She also ranks second on the team in shots on goal with nine, four of which came in the victory over Hampton.
The Cougars return to action on Thursday, October 8, when they travel to Philadelphia, Pa. to face Drexel. Kickoff is set for 6:00 pm.
The match will be streamed on FloCollege Sports, with live stats available here.
