CHARLESTON, S.C. - Battling rainy and wind conditions, the College of Charleston beach volleyball team earned a 4-1 win over Morehead State on Monday at The Yard.

Ella Duffner and Alivia Newberg swept their dual on court 3 to continue to pair's strong season. Fiona North and Grace Toscano also added a sweep on court 4.

The Cougars earned hard fought three sets wins on courts 1 and 5. Paige Clark and Cassie Thayse teamed up at the 1s with Sophie Sageer and Madison Loving taking the win on court 5. Sageer and Loving earned their win in reverse sweep fashion.

Charleston is back in action when the Cougars host the South Carolina Derby at The Yard March 20-21. The Cougars will welcome UNCW, Coastal Carolina, Tampa, and Erskine for two days of action.
