Beach Volleyball Hosts South Carolina Derby

CHARLESTON, S.C. - The College of Charleston beach volleyball team will be hosting the South Carolina Derby tournament March 20-21.
The Cougars will open the tournament on March 20 vs Erskine and Coastal Carolina before taking on Tampa and UNCW on March 21.
This will be the fourth meeting of the season between Charleston and UNCW. The Seahawks won the opening match 4-1 on February 20 in Wilmington, North Carolina. The 3s pair of Ella Duffner and Alivia Newberg securing the lone dual win for the Cougars
The Cougars and Erskine will meet for the 10th time in program history. The Cougars are currently undefeated with a record of 10-0 against Erskine, dating back to February 26, 2021.
Charleston will play all familiar teams on Friday and Saturday, starting with Erskine before facing UNCW for the fourth time this season and 36th time in program history. The Seahawks have won all three matches this season 4-1. The Cougars will also be playing the Spartans for the first time since 2023. Charleston has a 2-2 record in program history against Tampa.
