Track and Field to Compete in Shamrock Invitational

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. – The College of Charleston track and field team travels to the Shamrock Invitational to compete Friday, March 20 and Saturday, March 21.
Charleston will bring 34 athletes to the meet and compete across 11 events.
The Cougars opened the outdoor season at the Myrtle Beach Collegiate Invitational March 13 & 14.
Allie Sanfelippo placed second in the pole vault and clocked a new personal best, clearing 3.65m. Sanfelippo's jump places her fifth all time in the Charleston record book. She also competed in the long jump, jumping 5.21m.
Trinity Jones ran a time of 25.21 in the 200m dash to place seventh all time in the record book.
Elaine Zhai is entered in the pole vault, and she placed second at the CAA Indoor Championships in the event in February.
Gabby Brailsford and Jackie Sides are entered in the 100m dash and the 200m dash on Friday and Saturday. The freshman pair competed in the 200m dash in the CAA Indoor Championships and placed fourth and fifth respectively.
