
Cougars Complete Comeback at N.C. A&T

GREENSBORO, N.C. – The College of Charleston women's basketball team (24-5, 16-2) used a 28-13 fourth quarter to defeat N.C. A&T (12-16, 7-10) by a final of 70-64 at the Corbett Sports Center on Saturday afternoon.
Saturday's win marked Head Coach Robin Harmony 119th victory at the helm of CofC, and she is now the winningest head coach in Charleston Division I history. She passed Nancy Wilson who won 118 games from 2003-2012.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- N.C. A&T jumped out to a 13-5 lead and held a 23-17 advantage at the end of the first quarter.
- Trailing for most of the first half, a late three by Taylor Barbot made it a seven point game (37-30) in favor of the Aggies at the break.
- A 12-0 run by N.C. A&T propelled the Aggies to 51-35 lead, but the Cougars closed the third quarter on a 7-0 spurt to make it a nine point game heading into the fourth.
- Two free throws from Taryn Barbot and Sophia Tougas' fourth triple of the contest cut the Cougars' deficit to six (53-47) with 8:28 left in the game.
- Anilys Rolon scored five quick points before Taylor Barbot converted an and-1 to cap off a 13-0 run and give CofC a 55-53 advantage with 6:05 left to play.
- A Jami Hill triple put the Cougars up eight with 3:37 left in the game.
- N.C. A&T made it a three point game with two minutes left, but a Taylor Barbot three and multiple defensive stands from the Cougars gave CofC a 70-64 win at the Corbett Sports Center on Saturday afternoon.
- Junior Taylor Barbot tallied a game-high 18 points to go along with a game-high eight assists. She also collected four rebounds against the Aggies.
- Junior Taryn Barbot added 13 points and five assists.
- Senior Naylee Cortes scored a season-high 10 points, while also grabbing four rebounds and collecting four steals.
- Freshman Anilys Rolon scored eight second half points and provided a crucial spark off the bench.
- Redshirt senior Sophia Tougas hit four triples as she totaled 12 points.
- Charleston made 11 threes on a 42.3% clip from beyond the arc.
- The Cougars forced 30 Aggie turnovers, collected 17 steals and scored 24 points off turnovers.
- Charleston outscored N.C. A&T 28-13 in the fourth quarter.
- Head Coach Robin Harmony won her 119th game at CofC and is now the winningest head coach in CofC Division I history. She passed Nancy Wilson who won 118 games from 2003-2012.
- The Cougars 16 conference wins are the most ever in program history. Charleston previously reached the 14 win mark during the 2024-25 season and during the 2008-09 campaign (SoCon).
- Taryn Barbot scored her 1,615th point as a Cougar and is sixth on Charleston's all-time scoring list.
- Taylor Barbot collected her 300th career rebound.
- Charleston is now 4-3 all-time against N.C. A&T.
