
Jones Sets New Program Record at Duke Invitational

DURHAM, N.C. – Trinity Jones set a new school record in the 400m dash at the Duke Invitational in Durham, N.C. Saturday, April 11.
The freshman ran a new program best time of 55.75 in the event for a 12th place finish out of 75 women.
Kinsley Allen placed second in the high jump on Friday morning. Allen cleared 1.71m. Freshman, Tori-Ann Anderson cleared 1.63m in the high jump.
In the 100m dash, Jackie Sides and Gabby Brailsford ran program second and third best times, respectively. The freshman duo also marked their names in the record book in the 200m dash on Saturday. Riley Fisher also ran a personal best in the event with a time of 12.46.
Abby Mogg competed in the 800m and the 1500m at the Invitational while running a new program fourth best in the 800m with a time of 2:11.53. Mogg ran a personal best time of 4:31.51 in the 1500m.
Gail Vaikutis and Katie O'Toole competed in the 1500m each running a new top 10 time in the event.
In the 800m, Andie Harding and O'Toole ran new top ten times. Harding ran a season best with a time of 2:13.94 in the event.
In the 5k Friday evening, Savannah Stoutt and Cayden Crismon represented the Cougars. Stoutt ran a new personal best time of 17:21.61 in the event for a new program fourth best time.
Tatum Frith added her name to the top 10 list in the long jump at the Duke Invite. Frith jumped 5.42m for a new personal best.
Abby Fush jumped 11.74m for a season best in the triple jump. Fush placed ninth overall in the event.
The Cougars will next compete at the Sharonda Coleman Invitational in Orangeburg, S.C. on April 18.
