
Track and Field Competes at East Coast Relays

JACKSONVILLE, FLA. – Charleston track and field travels to compete at East Coast Relays for the final meet of the regular season May 1 and 2 in Jacksonville, Fla.
Charleston has 23 athletes entered across 11 events on Friday and Saturday.
Halli Silberman, Gabby David and Tatum Frith will open the meet for Charleston in the long jump Friday, May 1 at 2 p.m. In their last meet, David and Frith marked season bests with David jumping 5.61m and Frith jumping 5.46.
The Cougars have four entered in the pole vault on Friday, May 1 at 6 p.m. At the Sharonda Coleman Invitational in April, freshmen Elaine Zhai and Allie Sanfelippo tied for first in the event, each clearing 3.75m.
Freshman, Tori-Ann Anderson is entered in the high jump on Saturday, May 2 beginning at 1:00 p.m. The last time out, Anderson cleared 1.76m for a new personal best and a new second-best in program history. The freshman's jump marks her 23rd in the East Region and the top 48 will qualify for NCAA Regionals in May. Freshman Viktorija Calusic and junior Kinsley Allen are also entered in the high jump.
On the track, four freshmen will represent the Cougars in the 200m dash at 6:25 p.m. on Friday. Trinity Jones previously ran a time of 24.95 this season for fourth best in program history. Jones is also entered in the 400m dash on Saturday and currently holds the program record in the event with a time of 55.75.
Charleston has six runners entered in the 800m on Saturday, including sophomore Abby Mogg who currently holds the fourth best program time. Mogg is also entered in the 1500 on Friday at 7:50 p.m.
