CHARLESTON, S.C. – College of Charleston women's tennis head coach Doug Matthews has announced the program's 2026 fall schedule.
In total, Charleston will appear in five tournaments this fall.
The Cougars kick off their fall campaign by hosting the College of Charleston Invitational September 18-19 before traveling to the Coastal Carolina Invite October 2-3.
From there, CofC will head to South Carolina for the ITA Regionals in mid October before rounding out the month at the Georgia Southern Invite. The final team tournament for Charleston will be the UNF Invite in early November.
Individual tournaments for the Cougars include the following: ITA All Americans (Sept. 19-27), ITA Sectionals (Nov. 5-8), ITA Conference Masters (Nov. 5-8) and potentially the Individual NCAA Tournament Singles and Doubles Championships (Nov. 17-22).
The Cougars return seven athletes from last years team, including Oziera Ahmad and Riley Trinkle who earned 2026 CAA postseason honors. New faces include head coach Doug Matthews, assistant coach Ryan Rasco and four additional newcomers.
Charleston ended the 2026 season 17-9 and 6-2 in conference play. CofC made the NIT Championships for the first time in program history and defeated North Texas in the quarterfinals to secure the program's first postseason victory in Division I history. Charleston also advanced to the CAA Championship semifinals for the second consecutive year and ninth time in program history.
