NASHVILLE, Tenn. – College of Charleston lost to Lipscomb in straight sets (19-25, 21-25, 24-26) Saturday evening at Allen Arena.

Sophomore Caroline Noonan hit a match-best .526 to pair with 11 kills and a pair of blocks while junior Helena Vukovic collected 30 assists in the setback.

CRITICAL POINTS AGAINST LIPSCOMB:

Sophomore Makena Parthen ripped off 8 kills to go along with a .353 attacking percentage.
Freshman Julie Nzambele had 7 kills for the second straight match to open the year.
Fellow rookie Violet Poole recorded 8 digs in the backline.

OF NOTE:

Charleston and Lipscomb squared off for the first time Saturday.
Freshman Madison Hewitson made her collegiate debut.
Martin recorded 16 digs and has at least 13 digs in 29 of her 30 career contests.
Martin and Noonan both have service aces in each game to start the season.
