Sienna Ward Earns Top Drawer Soccer Team of the Week Honorable Mention

Charleston, S.C.- College of Charleston sophomore defender, Sienna Ward, earned honorable mention recognition on Top Drawer Soccer's Team of the Week, announced Tuesday, September 1.
Ward played an integral role in the Cougars historic 250th win in the match against UMass Lowell on Sunday, August 30. The Seattle, Wash. native scored the second goal of the match in the 53rd minute, converting a pass from Mary Martin Spinner in the front of the box to double the Cougar's lead over the River Hawks.
Ward's goal was scored only 34 seconds after Bella Antonio's opening goal, allowing Charleston to carry momentum throughout the remainder of the match. It also marked the first goal of Ward's collegiate career.
The Cougars went on to defeat the River Hawks 3-0, earning their first shutout of the season.
Ward joins the Cougars this year by way of Boston College. During her time with the Eagles, she appeared in four matches and totaled 33 minutes. This year, she has appeared in all six of Charleston's matches and has started in five.
The Cougars next match will be against South Carolina State this Thursday, September 1 at 7:00pm. The match will be played at Patriots Point, and will be streamed on FloCollege Sports, with live stats available here.
