Hardwick Leads Charleston with Top Ten Finish at Cougar Classic

CHARLESTON, S.C. - Molly Hardwick led the College of Charleston women's golf team with a bogey-free final round to finish T9 (-2) at the Cougar Classic. The senior sank three birdies in the final round for a 3-under, 68 round and a top ten individual finish.
The Cougars finished 12th out of 18 teams, beating out five Power 4 programs. Charleston played their top team round to conclude the tournament with an even par team performance, one of eight teams in the field to finish the day under par. The field featured nine of the pre-season top 26 teams in the country. Florida won the team title at 16-under followed by runner-up Tennessee at 6-under.
Sophomore Carys Fennessy played a 2-under, 69 round to conclude the tournament, making five birdies during Tuesday's round.
Emilie von Finckenstein matched Hardwick's 3-under, 68 score during the opening round of play for the top Cougar round of the tournament, while rookie Tori Robinson sank the first eagle of her career on Tuesday on hole 10.
Charleston returns to action on Friday, September 18 - Saturday, September 19 for the Mason Rudolph Invitational hosted by Vanderbilt.
