2015: Coons ends his Cougar career as an example of what to do both on and off the field after being named to the CAA All-Academic team in 2015. Not only did he excel in the classroom, but the Aplharetta, Ga. native played in all 17 games this season tallying 1416 minutes between the midfield and defensive backline. Tucker scored his lone goal of the season in the Cougars 3-1 win over Northern Illinois on Sept. 6. He also earned CAA All-Rookie Second Team honors.
2014: Started in 14 matches but played in all 16 for the Cougars manning the Cougar back line... Tallied three assists on the year while averaging over 79 minutes per game.
2013: Started in 15 matches and was rarely seen off the pitching, averaging 90 minutes per game… served as a rock along the Cougar back line… scored one goal and contributed one assist for the season, despite his defensive focus… scored the game winner in the 88th minute against Winthrop on Oct. 1... provided an assist against Cal on Sept. 22.
High School/Club: Earned four varsity letters under head coach Les Meenan at Chattahoochee High School ... started all four years as a defender ... named the team captain in his senior campaign... helped lead the Cougars to a regional championship and 16-1-1 record as a freshman... Played for the GSA Phoenix 93 Red Club Team and served as team captain in 2010 and 2011 ... aided his team to a U-18 No. 1 national ranking... played an instrumental role in the team's state championships from 2007-09 ... helped the team finish as National League Champions in 2009 and 2010, Disney Showcase Champions in 2007 and 2010, and a third-place finish at the 2010 National Championships.
