2015 (Sophomore): Appeared in one game for the Cougars, against The Citadel (Sept. 20)

2014 (Freshman): Appeared in 16 games with three starts, playing a total of 461 minutes... Recorded four shots, two of which were shots on goal

Before CofC: Graduated from Wando High School early to join the College of Charleston women’s soccer program a semester ahead of schedule… attended Academic Magnet her first two years before transferring to Wando… aided both teams to state championships during her high school tenure… played her club soccer with Charlotte Soccer Academy ’95 for three years… also involved in Key Club and Fellowship of Christian Athletes and ran cross country.

Michner on Edwards: "We are so excited to have Summer in our 2014 recruiting class and to have added her as an early enrollee is awesome. She is a very bright young lady and will offer us a lot on the field. Summer was a TopDrawerSoccer Top 150 Recruit in the nation and has the ability to play in a few different positions for us. She's also a local girl and our priority is to try and keep the best South Carolina players coming to CofC every year."

Edwards on joining the Cougars: “I always liked the atmosphere and being close to home. I’ve taken a lot away from my interactions with the coaches and I can’t wait to join the team! Finishing high school early was challenging and joining the team has been an adjustment, but I think I’ll have an advantage over other freshmen and it’s been an opportunity to get to know my team.”
