Oliver Reynolds

Oliver Reynolds is in his first season as associate head coach and third season overall for men’s and women’s tennis at the College of Charleston. Reynolds joined the CofC family in February of 2015.

Reynolds has contributed to a great deal of success since his arrival at The College, serving as a part of the Men's Tennis CAA Championship run, and NCAA tournament berth, in 2016. The men's team also made it to the CAA Championship in his first season, ending the season as the CAA Tournament runner-up.

“Coach “O” brings great court knowledge to our program,” Anastopoulo said. “His on court strategies will undoubtedly make the difference in many close matches.  Coach “O” can’t wait to hit the recruiting trail in hopes of landing the Cougars their first blue chip recruit.  With his personality and knowledge, this is certainly a possibility.”

Reynolds joins the Cougar family from The Citadel, where after serving as an assistant coach under Kemper Baker for the 2012 season, he was promoted to interim head coach at just 24 years old.

A collegiate standout at Samford University, Reynolds helped the Bulldogs to a Ohio Valley Conference championship as a freshman, before claiming a Southern Conference crown his senior season.

Reynolds joins a distinguished program that on the women’s side have enjoyed 20-win seasons in seven of their last eight campaigns, including NCAA tournament appearances in five of the last six years. The men’s team has also seen success on the court, winning three conference titles in the last five seasons under two-time SoCon Coach of the Year, Jay Bruner. This season, the men have been ranked as high as No. 73 in the nation.

“I am really excited about the opportunity to work with two great programs and two great coaches,” Reynolds said. “The College has consistently produced great student-athletes that succeed on all levels, and I look forward to seeing what we can achieve this season for the men and women on the court.”
