Maryland's first goal was scored at 38:32 when Sumed Ibrahm drove in Siba Mohammed's pass from 10-yards out. Just one minute and twenty-four second later, Mohammed struck again, scoring the Terrapins second goal of the first half. Maryland would ride a 2-0 lead into halftime. The Terrapins outshot College of Charleston 11-2 in the first half.
At 46:42, Ian Rodway, scored an unassisted goal to extend the Terrapins lead to three. Maryland, tallying 17 shots on goal, would hold the Cougars to a scoreless second half. Maryland's goalkeeper, Noah Palmer, was credited with the shutout. Charleston's goalkeeper, Wes Martino, recorded nine saves.
The College of Charleston will be in action on October 27 in a 7:00pm match at Wofford.
