#articleRelated { display: none !important; } The College of Charleston men's soccer team dropped a 2-0 decision to the nationally ranked #6 Southern Methodist University Mustangs Friday afternoon at the TCU Soccer Classic in Fort Worth, Texas.

In the first half, the Mustangs took a 1-0 lead in the 11th minute when Colin Clark scored on a pass from Kellan Zindel. The goal was Clark's second of the season and the assist was Zindel's first of the season.

With less than a minute remaining in the first half, the Mustangs scored again to take a 2-0 lead into halftime. Diego Walsh scored on an assist from Ugo Ihemelu at the 44:19 mark of the first half.

Neither team scored in the second half. Ricardo Diaz led Charleston in shots with two. Chris Simpson and Keith Wiggins each had three saves in 45 minutes of action.

The Cougars are in action again when they participate in the final day of the TCU Soccer Classic in Fort Worth, Texas. The Cougars battle host TCU on September 29th. The game begins at 3:00 pm EST.
